Brookfield Memorial Day Parade and Strawberry Festival 2013

Brookfield’s annual Memorial Day parade will be held on Sunday, May 26th at 2pm.  The parade starts at Brookfield High School and will proceed down Route 25 to Route 133, ending at Center Elementary School.

Following the parade, the Brookfield Historical Society will host their annual Strawberry Festival.  The parade ends at the museum parking lot where strawberry shortcake and soft drinks will be sold to support future public programs of the Society. The Billy Michaels’ Jazz for Juniors band will be on hand to entertain and a display of antique and vintage automobiles will also featured in the parking lot.

At the same time, within the Society’s Museum, the Annual Brookfield War Memorial exhibit, which honors former Brookfield residents who gave their lives in service to the United States, will be open to the public. Admission is FREE and the public is encouraged to attend. For more information on this and other upcoming events of the Brookfield Historical Society, visit www.brookfieldcthistory.org.
