June 1st is the grand opening of the new farmer’s market at Danbury Fair Mall! Check out produce vendors, dairy, meat and fish purveyors, bakers, artisan food makers, and prepared food merchants from 10am-2pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays now through October 29th.
The market operator, Elite Farmer’s Markets, has gathered together more than forty of the best farmers and local food artisans from Connecticut and New York to present an extraordinary array of the freshest, most delicious produce and artisanal foods. There will also be prepared foods to eat on site, children’s activities, and live music on Saturdays. The farmer’s market is being sponsored by Jarden Home Brands, makers of Ball Brand Fresh Preserving Products (freshpreserving.com). Ball Brands will organize regular demonstrations at the market on how to preserve fresh foods.
The Elite Farmer’s Market will open on the grounds of Danbury Fair across from Macy’s. All visitors can park on Parking lots 3, 4 and 5 in front of Macy’s or Dick’s.
