Holiday Tree Lighting Events

We actually were on time with our normal schedule this year and got all of our holiday decorating accomplished the weekend after Thanksgiving! Have you started decorating yet?

If putting up your own decorations is not enough merriment for you, there are several opportunities in the area to ring in the Holiday Season this weekend:

Head to Ram’s Pasture in Newtown (Elm Dr./Hawley St.) on Friday, November 30th, for their tree lighting at 6:30pm.  Enjoy caroling and live music and refreshments. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be making an appearance!

Sandy Hook and Sandy Hook Organization for Prosperity (SHOP) are holding their festivities on Saturday, December 1st beginning at 4pm with the tree lighting at 6pm at Sandy Hook Glen (2 Washington Ave.).  Enjoy caroling, karaoke, refreshments, special store discounts, and free samples.  Residents are asked to bring non-perishable food donations for FAITH Food Pantry.

Join the Brookfield Girl Scouts at their Annual Holiday Tree Lighting on Saturday, December 1st, at the Brookfield Town Hall. The festivities begin at 5:00 pm. sharp and include caroling, refreshments, and Santa. Brookfield Town Hall is located at 100 Pocono Road.

Join the Stony Hill Four Corners Association for their Annual Hawleyville Tree Lighting at the Hawleyville Post Office Plaza on Sunday, December 2nd at 5:30pm.  Mr. and Mrs. Claus will arrive courtesy of the Hawleyville Fire Department.  Enjoy refreshments and songs of the season.  Residents are asked to bring a wrapped gift for the Newtown Fund.  Please specify age and gender.
